Collaborative Law Is In Your Best Interest, Too!

 

I was driving home the other day and while stopped at a stoplight, I saw a woman and what appeared to be her daughter on a moped.  The little girl had a helmet on and her mother did not.  And it occurred to me that often we make decisions to protect our children and to act in their best interest without taking the same care in making decisions for ourselves.

For example, if you are divorcing, choosing collaborative law because it is in the best interest of your children to do so is a good idea; though I ask you, isn’t it also in your best interest to choose collaborative law?  Isn’t it in your best interest to have your needs and goals acknowledged, to learn how to get past negative emotions and move on with your life; isn’t it in your
